Cancun Crazy Part 3 (of many)

Day 2 of our trip went by much smoother. Now that we had Jessica, we were not going to let her out of our sight! That morning we woke up and got beach side massages. It was very relaxing (but we all agreed it wasn't the best massage we have had). This is the massage hut below:

The spa also had these amazing dried pineapple rings. They were the perfect amount of moist vs. crunchy vs. sweet. If anyone knows where to get these in the US (as well as salty banana chips) you must let me know!

After the massage we ate by the pool and spent the rest of the day at the pool. Determined to try to get at least buzzed, Cilla ordered us extra strong coconut drinks. I guess it worked because I passed out at the pool for about an hour and that is how I got really burned.

For the evening we were brave enough to venture out of the hotel. It was actually Jessica, wild child Cancun convict, that suggested interest in leaving the hotel. I will say I was least comfortable with the idea, as was evidenced by how rigidly I sat during the bus ride to the restaurant. However, our decision to venture out of the hotel turned out to be very worth it. We went to a restaurant called La Distilelria, and it was the most lively place we saw all week. So this is where all the fun tourists have been hiding! It was lots of fun! The food was fantastic, there was a mariachi band, and the drinks were.....well they still weren't strong- what's up with this town!!

Stay tuned for the story about the hot futbol player :)
