- British people have an amazing ability to substitute beer for the two dinners I usually require between the hours of 6pm to 3am, I still can't figure it out;
- Light beer is not real beer;
- 24 hour liquor licenses does not mean the pubs stay open all night, they still close at 11pm/midnight but then the clubs open up;
- and a hen party in the UK = a bachelorette party in the US
So, two months in I attended my very first hen party. When I found out the theme was Hollywood glamour I was immediately excited!
And the traditional bachelorette shenanigans ensued...

Oh, and I must not forget there was a stage....and some how Fun Bobby ended up on stage....with a man dressed as Amy Winehouse. 
I'm not sure why I was told to go on stage, but once it was my turn to be ridiculed by the Amy Winehouse look alike, it was all downhill from there. He asked me why I was at the bar that night, and after my response he promptly said, "Is that an American accent I detect...?" Haha. He then went on to ask me a very long winded question and somewhere between the closeness of his microphone, the amount of wine I had that night, and the speed at which he talked he lost me. When he finally ended his question I just stared at him blankly and told him I had no idea what he just said. He then kicked me off the stage for not understanding British.
